Determinants Affecting the Adoption of Silvopastoral Production among Smallholder Farmers in Zimbabwe

The main goals of silvopastoral production are to increase the quality and fodder promote conservation soil biodiversity. Despite its achievements as an approach, it has not been fully practiced by small holder farmers. study sought determine factors influencing adoption in Chikwaka communal area Goromonzi district Zimbabwe. Simple random sampling technique was used involving sixty-six respondents. Factors that affect were estimated binary logistic regression model. Variables significantly affected land size, number cattle owned well household size. results revealed uptake level is still low . Therefore, continuous effort improve livestock herd under smallholder farmers through silvopastoral, should be taken a priority encourage more adopt system.
